After eight weeks of therapy, fasting plasma glucose and 2-hour postprandial plasma glucose levels in Group R were statistically significantly lower than in Group C.

From these, adding RE therapy to the standard-of-care was inferred to be effective in improving glucose metabolism in patients with metabolic syndrome.
