Extending Survival Time

The mean survival time of nude mice in Group R was about 19% longer than in Group C, and there was a statistically significant difference between the means of the two groups.

Appearance Immediately before Death

The figure below shows the appearance of nude mouse from Group C and Group R within 24 hours before death.

The nude mouse in Group C had edema from the thighs to the abdomen and inflammation in the joints. On the other hand, the nude mouse in Group R showed no pathological changes in its appearance and was thought to have died of old age.
